A thread cut short in its prime.
This thread however, was truly hilarious. I dunno why people get so riled up when I’m brief.
Now that I know this is going to much more be about watching and laughing rather than getting involved and, you know, invalidating all those nasty ‘rules’ and shit, I feel much more comfortable posting a thread to watch on Threads To Watch. I know most of you guys don’t play CoX any more, but surely, surely you can appreciate this little piece of perfect gemmery.
We start with the effusively self-ingratiating idiocy of Jacobi Law. Not content with spattering his opinion around, then passive-aggressively trying to see how well people will adopt an idea he likes (which he can then claim to be ‘just talking here’, or perhaps, if the idea has traction, be ‘the will of the people’), he decides to tread out an old, boring, topic that demonstrates his amazing and impeccable ability to care primarily about himself and not actually accord much thought of his own to a topic, even when he has direct experience with how it would play out.
He gets responded to by long-winded individuals who are right, but moving on from there, EvilRyu decides to join in and weigh in his meaty opinion. Jacobi goes on to prattle that ‘that’s not what he meant’, then blame the misunderstandings on EvilRyu, who is busy claiming in other threads while controllers and dominators merit blaster-level damage so they can solo, of course, that the purpose of MMOs is to team and if anyone is inconvenienced by server mergers they can just suck it down.
There is so much unintentional irony and hilarity in this thread I can’t stand it. It’ll only get better if Antimatter - aka Temporal - decides to jump in. I just can’t post in this thread, for it would destroy me.
Got Orange Box.
Finally.
This is the most incredible book ever.

Hopefully 2009 will suck less, but somehow I doubt it.
I hope everything will get better for each of you and that none of you die before you accomplish all your goals.
Now it’s time to chill out and read this Legend of Zelda manga. Fun times.
