I am going to have to side with the conspiracy theorist on the whole moon landing thing. I have always seen the space program as being a huge waste of money that could have easily gone towards curing diseases or given to schools so that kids could have a better education. Aside from putting satalites in orbit I just dont see the point in space exploration in this day and age. We barely can be civil with one another, what makes them think they could deal with other inteligent life out there? All it would take is for one racist redneck to screw something up and we end up destroyed. As for as the moon landing, I think we might have been to the moon but not back during the time when they said it first happened. I think it happened much later than that. They put all that stuff on tv just so the USA could appear to be the first to actually land there, thats what I think happened. Sometime afterwards is when people really landed on the moon.

First thing you gotta do is download Steam. You can find Steam here, click on the green tab that says “Get Steam now” it’s free to download. You will have to set up a Steam account in order to recieve a Guest Pass. One your account is set up go to Steam Account options and select your Steam ID name. Once you have done this link us to your Steam ID in the comments section and we will send you a guest pass.

Mish creator, Shields, Villains with Empathy (called “Pain domination”, wtfhax), “rewards tokens” to trade in for lewt by doing TFs (my suggestion, lulz), and the CoX version of Rest XP.

Not enough to make re resub, but a solid update nonetheless.

I did get the PS3 version, though, since my only gaming machine isn’t a gaming machine. Damn laptop could barely run CoX. (I probably will get around to TF2 for it anyway, though.)

So Portal was amazing, but the main reason I’m posting is because I just finished Halflife 2, and its two episodes. I hadn’t played the original in a few years, but damn. I mean, DAYUM.

That was some heavy, immersive, beautiful storytelling and gameplay. Usually silent protagonists piss me the hell off, but somehow Half Life sucks me in. Crowbar in hand, I AM THE FREEMAN.

You’re all faggots for not making me play it earlier.

So I’ve been sitting around all day playing rock band and waiting for the Rush - Moving Pictures album that was supposed to be released today but is delayed due to technical difficulties (nobody has said anything officially or unofficially past that). And reading the always fun Rock Band official forums (Pixies suck! You’re a hippie uneducated whore-bag! etc) today is particularly amusing. Over the past few hours there have been threads that pop up and instantly get deleted, here is my favorite (click to largenate):

Edit: The spam catching plugin seems to be working great. All the spam comments we received today and yesterday have been caught. It looks like I won’t have to restrict comments to those logged in. I also threw a CAPTCHA on the registration. Still looking for a better way to do HTML comments.

I’m about to mess with the site, so it might get funky for a bit. I’m going to:

-upgrade to WordPress 2.6.1

-try to disable comments unless you’re logged in (surprisingly difficult, it seems)… if I can’t do that, I’ll have to add CAPTCHA to comments, although I want to avoid putting you guys through that extra step

-add CAPTCHA to registration

-try to get a better comment entry box that allows logged-in users to enter HTML, or at least UBB.

I don’t know how long all that will take, but the upgrade alone is a relatively involved process, so I imagine it’s likely I’ll get interuptted and wander away for a time. I’ll try to keep the site working, but, you know, shit happens.

Hopefully this helps with the comment spam assault we’ve been having.
